We cut the future ... Born on the Knowledge Forum was held Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Rome, at the national headquarters of Left Ecology Liberty a national meeting which was attended by university and high school students of different expression associative realities, Umberto Guidoni (Head of Knowledge SEL) and Clare Locks (SEL of the Scientific Committee).
The meeting has taken some of the topics discussed at the previous meeting held in Bologna on June 19 last year (
link on the national site). At that time there had been a political analysis on the situation as it relates to the school system and university and an exchange of experiences among comrades from different associations and student generation is territorial and national.
The main proposal of the Rome gathering was the idea from the experience of students
get to the creation of a National Forum of knowledge, capable of networking multiple and diverse social realities, but united by the common denominator of the battle for free access to knowledge in all its forms.
It is then passed to the stage of planning to launch its first initiative aimed at work (workshop), scheduled for early of October that is expected to be some macro-areas:
· Right to Education - Student Welfare
· Debate on how to decline the concept of Responsible
· Governance, student representation and protection of Knowledge as a common good
· School - Continuing Education
· Access to employment - Insecurity generational -
rights of citizenship on which to develop a shared analysis, identify alternatives and raise new forms of mobilization against the choices of the government on issues of school , University and Research.
During the discussion, moreover, were given three referents: Jacopo Agrimi, Caesar and Matthias Ciampicacigli Doggett, whose function is to promote and extend a horizontal dialogue between the realities of student associations and all her friends and classmates who wish to participate actively organize the two days of October, a synthesis of contributions of materials and products by focus groups.
The existence of the Forum and its references to SEL to enable collaboration and dialogue on the subjects of knowledge, with the party organization, trade union, student, and where possible with the institutions, thus ensuring a dynamic role in the our political force in the ongoing debate in the autumn view of mobilization.
